Statement of Belief:
Community Bible Church is a local assembly of Christian believers, free from any denominational control and separated from any denominational apostasy in the spirit of 2 Corinthians 6:14-18. We are patterned after the New Testament Church, being made up of a group of witnesses, emphasizing the scriptural thought of "The Fellowship of Believers" and free of a sectarian spirit, remembering there is one body, the body of Christ, in which body all believers are members.
Our Purpose:
The purpose of Community Bible Church shall be the preaching and teaching of the Bible, the Word of God, for the salvation of the lost, the edification of the saints, the defense of "the faith which was once delivered unto the saints," the world-wide proclaimation of the gospel in keeping with Christ's great commission, and for all our direction in all Christian work and activities to be in harmony with God's Word, the Bible.
Statement of faith:
God is a Person Who has revealed Himself as a Trinity of unity, Father, Son and Holy Spirit - Three persons and yet but one God. (Duet. 6:4; Matt 28:19, 1 Cor. 8:6)
The Bible including all 66 books of the Old & New Testaments, is a Divine Revelation, the original autographs of which were verbally inspired by the Holy Spirit. (II Tim. 3:16, II Peter 1:21)
Jesus Christ is the image of the invisible God, which is to say, He is Himself very God; He took upon Him our nature, being conceived by the Holy Ghost & born of the Virgin Mary; He died upon the cross as a substitutionary sacrifice for the sin of the world; He arose from the dead in the body in which He was crucified; He ascended into Heaven in that body glorified, where He is now, our interceding High Priest; He will come again personally & visibly in the air to resurrect the dead saints and to remove living believers from the world. This is the rapture of the church. It is imminent, which means we believe that it could occur at any moment. Following the rapture of the church there will be a period of seven years which the Bible calls “The Great Tribulation” – following which Christ will return to earth, with His Church, to establish His kingdom. (Col. 1:15; Phil. 2:5-8; Matt. 1:18-25; 1 Pet. 2:24,25; Luke 24; Heb. 4:14-16; Acts 1:9-11; I Thess. 4:16-18; Matt. 25:31-46; Rev. 11:15-17; 20:4-6, 11-15; Titus 2:13; Isaiah 2:3,4)
Man, was created in the image of God but fell into sin, and, in that sense, is lost; this is true of all men, and except a man be born again he cannot see the kingdom of God; salvation is by grace through faith in Christ who His own self bare our sins in His own body on the tree; the retribution of the wicked & unbelieving & the reward of the righteous are everlasting, and as the reward is conscious, so is the retribution, which is to say that there is an eternal glorified state for believers in Heaven, as well as an eternal punishment in Hell of all who reject Christ.
(Gen.1:26,27; Rom. 3:10,23; John 3:3; John 14:1-3; Acts 13:38,39; 4:12; John 3:16; Matt. 25:46; II Cor. 5:1; II Thess. 1:7-10; Eph. 2:8,9; Rom. 10:9, 10; Rev. 20:11-15)
The Church, is an elect company of believers baptized by the Holy Spirit into one body; its mission is to witness concerning its Head, Jesus Christ, preaching the gospel among all nations; it will be caught up to mee the Lord in the air at any moment. (Acts 2:41; 15:13-17; Eph. 1:3-6; I Cor. 12:12,13; Matt. 28:19,20; Acts 1:6-8; I Thess. 4:16-18)
Human Life, We believe that all human life is sacred & created by God in His image. Human life is of inestimable worth in all its dimensions, including pre-born babies, the aged, the physically or mentally challenged and every other stage or condition from conception through natural death. We are therefore called to defend, protect and value all human life. (Psalms 139) This is not to be understood as a blanket statement against the taking of human life. Possible exceptions could include:
